Girls and Women Empowerment Network (GWEN) Trust is an organization that supports the empowerment of adolescent girls and young women. The organization operates in Seke communal lands and surrounding areas and its operations aim to bring positive change out of the many social and economic challenges girls and women face which are mostly gender based violence (GBV).
Sparking the resilience, empowerment, activism and development of girls and young women ( Spark R.E.A.D) is an initiative that was founded in 2013 under the backdrop of addressing and redressing challenges faced by women and girls. The organisation is based in Harare but also works in Mtoko, Chiredzi and Silobela. It works in underprivileged and grassroots areas in Zimbabwe.

The organisation was established as cooperate in the late 80’s, when a group of women came together to start income generating projects.

The organisation was formed in 2004 to help poor marginalized young people and women to access their rights and social protection and realize their dreams through professional youth led action.
