Women Development Association Zimbabwe (WoDAZ), a community organisation in Gwanda has embarked on a recycling project to reduce the environmental impacts caused by poor handling of waste and litter. The organisation’s campaign is informed by the failure of the Gwanda Municipality and the environmental agencies to collect and manage refuse.

After some household chores and day today responsibilities, the rural youth in Zimbabwe is found with nothing else meaningful to do or draw their attention, a situation that has been worrying many young people living in rural and farming areas.
