The sides are being divided now. It’s very obvious. So if you’re on the other side of the fence, you’re suddenly anti-American. Its breeding fear of being on the wrong side. Democracy’s a very fragile thing. You have to take care of democracy. As soon as you stop being responsible to it and allow it to turn into scare tactics, it’s no longer democracy, is it? It’s something else. It may be an inch away from totalitarianism.

Well, this week we remain seized on the issue of corruption in high office. The ‘Robin Hood’ saga involving Higher Education Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo rages on, with recent revelations that he handed himself over to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) yesterday (2 November). After some questioning by the police and ZACC officials, they decided to place him under arrest though he was eventually released into the custody of his lawyer.
Last week, President Robert Mugabe gazetted Statutory Instrument 133 of 2016 set to introduce bond notes as a legal tender. Zimbabweans still have mixed feeling on how the bond notes will work and the impact it will have on the economy.

Hands of Hope Trust (HoHT) is a community based organization based in Zvishavane. It was established in 2011 and legally registered in accordance with Zimbabwean laws in 2016.
