The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission is set to kick start the much awaited biometric voter registration as the nation warms up to the 2018 harmonised elections. The registration which is the first of its kind in Zimbabwe will see the production of a new voter’s roll, which all along was the bone of contention among the opposition political parties alleging that the Registrar General, Tobaiwa Mudede had tempered with it to allow the ruling party’s successive victories in the election.

Call for Book Chapters - Battle Lines: Elections, Contestations and Democratisation in Zimbabwe
The Institute for Public Affairs in Zimbabwe (IPAZIM) and Elections Resource Centre in Zimbabwe (ERC) are calling for book chapters on a monograph on elections and governance in Zimbabwe provisionally titledBattle Lines: Elections, Contestations and Democratisation in Zimbabwe.
The Data collector must be a self-motivated individual who collects Young Adult Survey of Zimbabwe data in selected districts of Zimbabwe. He/she will work closely with the survey management team to ensure collection of timely research data.
The Research Supervisor will work closely with the Senior Researcher in the coordination and implementation of the Young Adult Survey of Zimbabwe (YAZ). The cadre will be responsible for the implementation of the project in the selected districts of Zimbabwe including supervision, monitoring and coordination of field data collection activities. He/she will work closely with team leaders, data collectors, laboratory coordinator and the Senior Researcher.
The Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for receiving and processing of whole blood samples including plasma separation, aliquoting, performing EQA HIV Rapid testing, DBS preparation, storage of specimens and shipping of plasma aliquots and DBS using cold chain system to central reference laboratory during the implementation of the Young Adult Survey of Zimbabwe. Ensure that all procedures are performed as defined in standard operation procedures and that all issues pertaining to safety are in place.
