Potential Consideration for CSOs on Political Developments in Zimbabwe
1. The constitution can still be salvaged. 2.President Mugabe must resign. 3. An acting president must be appointed from Zanu PF in terms of constitution's 6th schedule (sunset clauses) . 4. Civilian government is then restored with urgency. (my own thoughts)
The Changing Narrative of Zimbabwe’s Post-Colonial History in the Making
End of the ‘Liberation War Narrative’?
The quest for a post-colonial developmental state in Zimbabwe which started in 1980 has delivered mixed results for the country and its citizens. From the early successes in basic social service delivery to the chaotic but necessary land reform exercise, all the positives have been blighted by the general malaise that has bedeviled the country since the late 1990s.

Zim Politics by Soap Opera: Ambition minus People nor Democratic Value.
You couldn’t make it up if you tried. It is the stuff of soap opera scripts. An aged patriarch with a relatively young spouse. A (previously, but that would be a spoiler) blue eyed ‘boy’/ successor/runner. And the supposedly intriguing issue of ‘succession’ to head the empire. And yes, there is a much suffering audience, but as with soap operas, it is enthralled by the rapid speed at which events occur, empathising with one side or the other and forgetting its own real circumstances.
