As part of commemorating the World Literacy day, Organizing for Zimbabwe spoke to Leeroy Masawi, cofounder of Mastermind Nation, an organisation driven by the vision to ease the access of books to young people who are in schools and have no or limited access to books. For more about how they do it and one can access any books free of charge listen to the conversation we had with him.
In the first week of September, The Herald, a local newspaper published a story of a woman in Chitungwiza who killed her son in the process of disciplining him for stealing 25 cents. The story touched the hearts of many and people had different views as to what led the mother to act in the way she did. Organizing for Zimbabwe randomly asked citizens their views on the issue and the best way to discipline a child.
