STORIFY: Mugabe's Rotting Legacy and the Renaming of Harare International Airport

Last week President Robert Mugabe shocked the nation when he renamed the Harare International Airport to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport a move that shocked and angered the nation.

The renaming came just four days after the sacking of Vice President Mnangagwa from government and subsequently the part. There are fears that Robert Mugabe might want to propel his wife Grace Mugabe hence the sacking of Mnangagwa.

Apart from naming the Harare International Airport after Mugabe and unveiling plans to construct Robert Gabriel University government declared February 21 as Robert Mugabe National Youth Day.

Besides roads being named after the Zanu PF leader, another piece of land at the corner of Robert Mugabe and Rekayi Tangwena has also been unofficially named the Robert Mugabe Square.
